Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation Ms. Nthati Moorosi says both Radio Lesotho and Lesotho Television (LTV) are currently unable to give daily regular weather updates due to the Lesotho Meteorological Services (LMS) equipment challenges.

In her response during the question and answer session in the National Assembly on Thursday, the Minister said both state owned Radio Lesotho and LTV are unable to broadcast daily and regular weather updates due to the LMS currently experiencing challenges with its equipment used to predict weather focus.

She said both Radio Lesotho and LTV rely on the Ministry of Natural Resources through LMS to broadcast daily and regular weather updates. Ms. Moorosi therefore said the Ministry responsible could be in a better position to explain when the daily and regular weather updates will be broadcast again on both the Radio Lesotho and LTV.

The minister said this when she was responding to a question asked by the Member of Parliament for Malingoaneng constituency, Mr. Monethi Ramakalima who asked the Minister to shed some light to the House on the reasons that LTV and Radio Lesotho do not broadcast daily and regular weather updates, and mitigation measures the Ministry would undertake as Basotho intending to undertake journeys do so without proper changes insight.
