The Lesotho Standard Bank has donated food parcels and cash amounting to M2, 000:00 to Morapeli Disabled Centre at Motsekuoa on Saturday. In an interview with the Lesotho Standard Bank Branch Manager in Mafeteng, Mr. Ts;eliso Monare said the activity in being carried out under banks Cooperative Social Initiative where they are giving back to the community following their collection. He highlighted that the commodities have bought through contributions by the staff bank at headquarters under People& Culture with the aim of extending a helping hand to vulnerable communities.

The Branch Manager stated that they found it imperative to visit the center through provision of basic need which food while at the same time giving early Christmas so that the disabled children felt supported and cared for.<<<CLIP Chechile>>>

Sister Chechile further indicated that blue bank is their reliable donor and should remember that their contribution to this centre is really appreciated and it is not just a gift but its a prayer for their spirits which showed that during their stay on earth they cared for vulnerable people.

Donated items among others included sanitary towels for menstruating girls, washing powder, bath soap, cooking oil, rice, maize meal, wheat meal, tin fish, split peas.    Morapeli Disabled Centre was established in 1970 by the Bishop Alphonce Morapeli who was based in Bethel and later took it to Lesotho Mohale;s Hoek then permanently to Motsekuoa where they are currently taking care of sixty-eight disabled pupils.
