In commemoration of the 16 days of Activism against Gender based violence, the District Child protection Team, (DCPT), will celebrate the event at Ncúncu playground on December, 01.  This was confirmed by DCPT&;s Secretary Ms. Mamello Borotho by noting that they will be celebrating with the public, caregivers as well as children from nearby primary schools.

Ms. Borotho who further highlighted that the Ministry of Social Development is the Secretariat in this celebration is mandated with advocating for Children;s rights, stated that they have planned to engage in round table discussions with children to analyse their understanding regarding gender based violence issues, while providing necessary education.

  The 16 Days of Activism for no violence against women and children, is an International event held annually from November 25 to December, 10, with the aim of creating awareness to the impacts gender based violence has on women and children, and this year;s theme is Unite, Invest To Prevent Violence against Women and Girls.
