Berea police are in search of a 41 year old murder suspect who allegedly fatally stabbed his wife at Ha Majoro in Berea over the weekend.

A police report indicates that the 37 year old deceased was stabbed with a knife, after she indicated her suspicion that her husband had a love affair with another woman.

Police Commanding Berea district, Senior Superintendent Mapesela Klaas said the suspect inflicted 13 stab wounds on the deceased, and the knife’s blade even stuck on the back of the deceased, who died on arrival at Berea Government Hospital.
According to Senior Superintendent Klaas said the suspect ran away after the incident and is still at large, adding that the suspect and the deceased’s families were about to mediate between them.

He explained that the suspect and the deceased have three children, and appealed to feuding family members to always seek mediation from law enforcement agencies, churches and chiefs when they have clashes, instead of opting to commit such heinous criminal offences.
