The four Members of the National Assembly under the flag of Revolution For Prosperity (RFP) from the constituencies of Abia, Pela-Ts’oeu, Hlotse and Tsikoane have announced their return to the party following their exit last year.

This transpired at the press conference in which Mr. Thuso Makhalanyane, ‘Mope Khati, Malefane Mabote as well as Rethabile Nalana were announcing their decision to return to the party.

While addressing the media on Thursday at the party’s headquarters premises, Makhalanyane indicated that following his dismissal from the party, he has written a letter to RFP’s National Executive Committee which he was informing the party of his wish to return to the party and he still awaits the party’s response.

He stated that their return is not associated with outside influences but it is for them to do what is right as per the expectations of the people who voted for them.

He mentioned that despite the unresolved disputes that have let them into leaving the party, they are coming back as they want to support the government in attaining what is important to the nation which includes the implementation of the national reforms as well as the passing and presentation of the budget speech.

Makhalanyane   said Mr. ‘Mope Khati as the member of parliament for the Pela-Ts’oeu Constituency said they accept blame as their behavior contributed to the disputes that they had with the party. He stated that though they are returning to the party, they are going to fight for what is due to the nation such as issues related to accountability of the government funds which are being disbursed for public benefit.

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Revolution For Prosperity Ms. Nthati Moorosi confirmed that the Nation Executive Committee has received Mr. Makhalanyane’s letter and the special conference is yet to decide on this matter.

She also highlighted that the return of the aforementioned members of parliament is a positive sign as it will benefit the nation who has their hope on them.

Mr. Thuso Makhalanyane was dismissed from the party together with Mr. Rethabile Letlailana and Dr. Mahali Phamotse which they later challenged their dismissal from the party before the courts of laws.
