Though graph performance for first quarter seemed to be declining, the secretary for District Child Protection Team (DCPT) Leribe has urged the team to cover all the activities in the annual plan for the development of the child in the district.

The Secretary of the team Mr. Morema Phits'ane said the members should try and cover their own activities before focusing on those that come up in due course.

He mentioned that other community councils were neglected in training the Community Council Child Protection Teams (CCCPT) thus forcing the team to attend to them this second quarter.He said the community councils are Litjotjela, Hleoheng, Maisaphoka and Matsoku.Mr. Phits'ane indicated that the CCCPT needs support from DCPT especially during their meetings for assistance in tackling child issues.

However, he pointed out that transport is a challenge hindering the quarterly plan but they are willing to work hard in overcoming it.One of the members of DCPT Ms. Palesa Lemeke said most of the objectives were achieved in the last quarter.She indicated that the team should not focus on activities that rise in between but rather make sure they deal with their plan.Again, she said the overseeing committee should keep eyeing them to stop them whenever they lose focus.
