The Embassy of the Peoples Republic of China held the award giving ceremony for young Basotho entrepreneurs, at the Chinese Embassy in Maseru yesterday.

On that occasion the Ambassador of the Peoples Republic of China to Lesotho Dr Sun Xianghua, congratulated the young entrepreneurs and encouraged them to put more effort in their businesses.

He said he believes in young people as the future is in their hands.

He also emphasized that the purpose of the award is not only to provide some financial support to some promising small micro enterprises owned and run by youth, but it is to strengthen the small businesses in Lesotho.

However one of the recipients of the award Mr Thamae of Nazareth Hantsi, who produces wine said he feels very honored that his business was selected among many small businesses in Lesotho.

He further said his vision is to be the most known wine maker in the whole world.

Moreover the Minister of Foreign Affairs Honourable Lesekho Makhothi, said the Government of Lesotho is very pleased to have young people who are committed to bring hope to Lesotho and their contribution in the economy of the Country.

He said it is the first time in the history of Lesotho whereby wine is made in the country.
