King Letsie III accepts letters from Malawi and Cuba high commissioners to Lesotho.

His Majesty King Letsie III accepted letters from ambassadors of Malawi to Lesotho Professor Crassey Patricia Ndasosochera Kabonda, and the Ambassador of Cuba to Lesotho Mr Rovuldobenets Verson at the Royal Palace in Maseru yesterday.

At the event His Majesty King Letsie III said the ambassadors came to Lesotho at the right time, when the country is embarking on major national constitutional reforms.

He expressed gratitude to Cuba for providing medical training to Basotho, saying he hopes both countries will explore other areas of corporation, which include tourism and natural resources.

When handing over her letters to the king Professor Kabonda, said Malawi is satisfied with Lesotho’s progress in developing democracy, and that Malawi is ready to work with Lesotho in the areas of education and agriculture.

At the same event Mr Verson pointed out that Cuba does not only provide medical training to Basotho, but also contributes to the improvement of important health issues such as birth rate and infant mortality.
