The Lesotho Defence Force(LDF) commander Lieutenant General Mojalefa Letsoela, officially launched a two weeks training course for the LDF officials in Maseru yesterday.

Speaking at the event Lieutenant Letsoela said the training which is financially supported by Britain, is controlled by the security sector in general, and is meant for army officials in all Southern African Development Community(SADC)’s member states.

He pointed out that the training will help army officials to better understand the security sector, and also improve their skills for their work.

At the same event the director of the training Professor Luara Clerry, explained that security sectors are faced with the ever changing challenges, threats and new assignments, and they have to associate themselves with the changes taking place around them.
