Yesterday World Vision Lesotho handed over a two roomed house and a pit latrine to the family of Mrs Makhauta Makobane at Poopo in Mapoteng in its joint push with Habitat Lesotho and Berea CGPU under a uniform quest of these three parties, to see to the protection and wellbeing of children.
When speaking for CGPU Inspector Petje Teke articulated that his unit serves children in a bid to protect them from all sorts of harassment, stressing that owning a home is one of the vital pillars in the safety of children, which in actual fact defends them against abuse.
On the other hand Mr. Nicholas Ahadje World Vision Grants Manager pressed that his organization is a community based institution , which works through engaging citizens to identify the most vulnerable in order to grant them any form of aid they need, especially children, a group that this organization focuses on to improve its livelihood.
Mrs Mathabo Makuta the National Director of Habitat for Humanity Lesotho also had her say, expressing that the event was a pragmatic declaration of a covenant between the two ignitions(World Vision Lesotho/Habitat For Humanity Lesotho) which have been working together for more than five years to date , with world vision financing the projects that Habitat builds ;she added that the partnership has built more than 60 houses in Berea, not excluding Mpharane in Mohale’s hoek .
