The Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offences (DCEO) Managing Director Advocate Borotho Matsoso, said anti-corruption campaigns are meant to be productive.

This he said in a meeting between the LMPS, LRA and DCEO where they gathered to present their concerns in preparation to the national day of the fight against corruption that will be on the 09 December 2018.

Advocate Matsoso articulated that this year’s commemoration of the  International Anti-Corruption Day comes against the background in which the African Union(AU) has declared 2018 as the African anti-corruption year under the theme; “Winning the fight against corruption, a sustainable pass to Africa’s Transformation”.

On the other hand the acting chairperson in the Lesotho Revenue Authority (LRA) Mr Thabang Moleko, emphasized that it is their responsibility to stop corruption as it is a threat to the economy of the country.

However, this is the 4th time where the International Anti-Corruption day is marked in the history of Lesotho.
