Zimbabwe's government has banned all public gatherings, and ordered food vendors off the streets of the capital Harare, as it battles a cholera outbreak which has already left at least 30 people dead so far.

However, reports indicate that many food vendors are barely making ends meet in Zimbabwe, and they say the prohibition of their livelihood is not related to the real cause of the outbreak, but the outbreak is a result of dilapidated water and sanitation facilities.
