The Ambassador of the Peoples Republic of China Dr Sun Xianghua bid farewell to Basotho in Maseru on Saturday, when ending his tenure as the China Ambassador to Lesotho.

In his speech Dr Xianghua indicated that he had a great time during his term in Lesotho, and that he is very proud that in his tenure, the China-Lesotho relationship has improved.

He also said his journey here in Lesotho has been full with joy, satisfaction and harmony, saying not a single day has passed without him feeling ungrateful.

He further said this journey will be the most memorable one in his wholelife.

Dr Xianghua also said he is grateful that during his term as the China Ambassador to Lesotho, in the past 28 months ‘Manthabiseng Convention Centre got renovated, they witnessed the construction and handover of China Internationa Baccalaureate School in Maseru, which has become one of the three great schools in Lesotho, as well as the handover of the new state house which has become a landmark facility in Maseru.

He further pointed out that on top of these projects, there are also new projects which are still underway.

On that occasion the Minister of Foreign Affairs Honorable Lesekho Makhothi, said he is very proud that the Mountain Kindom of Lesotho had a chance to work with Dr Sun as he is a very strong and courageous man.
