Five suspects amongst the six who are involved in the stealing of M17 million government money have been granted bail by the Maseru Magistrate Court, while the other one was denied bail because of his other pending criminal charges.

These five are ‘Mamothibeli of Standard Lesotho Bank, Mokone Bereng who is a member of the Lesotho Mounted Police Service(LMPS), Qetelo Moletsane, Makhetha Thaele and Thabiso Tapetla, therefore they will reappear before the court on the 31st January 2019.

These five are being suspected of working together in stealing money and keeping it in their bank accounts in Mohale’s Hoek and Leribe using internet banking in October 2018.
