With the purpose of fighting against crime at Joala boholo in Leribe, the community of Joala Boholo have established the Sekoele Crime Association.

This was revealed by the former Member of Parliament for Malibamats'o constituency and member of the association Mr. Nto Moakhi.

Moakhi explained that after 200 years of celebration of the founding of Basotho nation on October 4, the association intends to expand from Popopo to other three villages, namely Kholokoe, Matsoete and Chaka.

In addition, he said they are to establish the committee which will be working with the main one at Popopo. He highlighted that the association is aimed at fighting crime which for many years back has rampaged Joala Boholo.

Moreover, said they plan to instil love for each other as residents of Joala Boholo and Basotho at large. He mentioned that they will be working with community Policing committees to overcome crime.

Referring to women, he stated that the association was formed by men but later they incorporated women to assist with cooking and packaging of clothing items and other commodities.

He concluded that thus far they have given out food and clothes to vulnerable households and disabled community members. The association is aimed at establishing committees in all parts of the country to overcome crime.
