The minister of gender, youth, sports and recreation Dr. Mahali Phamotse   says 57 % of the population of  Lesotho is women and youth, adding that her department ‘s mission is to improve the lives of the youth which is guided by policies

This she said yesterday  when receiving a delegation of 50 youth from China ,whose visit to Lesotho is piloted to study the interests and capacity of Basotho youth, to share insights ,to enhance the alliance of these two countries and strengthen cooperation between them,

She expressed that her department is looking forward to working together with the envoy, towards the development of Basotho youth’s lives  

Miss Ou Bo A  the leader of this team said these youth is the  first of China’s  appointment into Africa  ,Lesotho being the first African country to be visited ,under China‘s  commission  to  setup collaboration with the continent, to improve its economy and communities ,

She articulated that their assignment  attests to China’s commitment  to  maintain being  an ally of Lesotho.
