The Minister of Home affairs Honourable Tsukutlane Au, said Basotho should honour the immigrants as well as encourage them as the nation.
He said some immigrants work as teachers, doctors and business people in Lesotho, and further said he would therefore like to thank all Basotho who are living peacefully with them.
This he said in Mohalalitoe Maseru over the weekend, at the annual immigration day celebration
However Honourable Au stated that the immigrants have contributed in the economy of the country, and said some of them have very special talents that most Basotho need.
On that occasion the Commissioner of the Immigration Sector in the Ministry of Home Affairs Mr Mohlolo Lerotholi, emphasized that there is a law governing the imigarants, and up to this far they have not heard any complaints about the immigrants.
Immigration day is celebrated annually on the 20th June, in order to honour the immigrants, to encourage and support them.
