Patients express gratitude to the government

Patients receiving health services in the Health Division have expressed gratitude to the government following the decision to meet their requirements. This they expressed after accessing services on Monday after weeks without access.

Mrs. Malimakatso Tsíame from Thabana- Mahlanya says it has been hard for her as she failed to collect her monthly medications from the clinic and could not afford to pay for services at the hospital or buy at the pharmacy.

She continued to state that as she has a young child, she was forced to borrow some cash to take her to Paray Hospital. She said it had been very tough during that time as they had to rely on herbs to ensure they put their situation under control.

The clinic serves communities from as far as Mohlakeng, Moqekela, Motsóloane, Liphookoaneng, Pontséng, and Ha Sixhishe.

To confirm they have already started, Nurse Midwife Limpho Seutloali stated that they had started working as promised but the number of patients they attended to was too low as compared to their normal working days.

She said Mondays are normally dedicated to exposed children and had indicated that none attended today. She said they had seen less than 100 patients in Family Planning, Out Patient Department (OPD), and Anti-Retroviral Treatment (ART) amongst others.

She also said the other reason for low attendance could be some still went to Paray Hospital to access services.  Paray Hospital also confirmed there are still multitudes of people who are accessing services in their hospital as currently.
