Standard Lesotho Bank awarded over M60 000 to the girls organization, Hlokomela Banana at the Royal Palace in Maseru yesterday.

Speaking at the event Standard Lesotho Bank acting Chief Executive Officer Mr Thabiso Tsenki, said the aim of the bank is to ensure that girls do not miss school, as a result of their monthly female period.

At the event Queen ‘Masenate Mohato Seeiso said Standard Lesotho Bank, contributed in the future of girls in Lesotho by restoring their dignity and confidence, as the world commemorated menstrual cycle and hygiene day during the course of this week.

She further said this means that girls will have a bright future, as they will be able to engage in their studies without any hindrance.
