Teachers unions continue with their struggle for salary increase.
13 August 2018 | 16:53

The spokesperson of three teachers unions namely LAT, LTTU and LESPA Mr Tshepo Lethobane, said the Government of Lesotho and the Minister of Education are playing games with the future and education of Basotho.

This he said on Friday at the gathering of all members of the afore mentioned teachers unions, due to the issues of the salary structure that the unions and the ministry of Education are still solving before the Directorate of Dispute Prevention And Resolutions( DDPR).

Mr Lethobane indicated that the Minister of Education like playing games, by deliberately changing stories every time they get before DDPR .

He further said they have not reached the agreement as yet, but they are aware that the Ministry of Education is shunning at the fact that the unions stand a very good chance of winning this battle.

However he also said they have been promised to hear the verdict on this matter on Wednesday this week at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

Moreover while they are still awaiting the results, Mr Lethobane appealed to his fellow teachers to go back to their respective schools and keep themselves busy while they wait.
