The Lesotho Swimmers Association (LeSA) has shown concern with the recent drownings that have been reported in a number of places in and around Maseru. Speaking in an interview with the Agency, the Public Relations Officer of the association Mr. Sebonomoea Ramainoane said as the association, they have decided to hold swimming lessons for people living along river banks and dams. He said such lessons which have not yet been confirmed when they shall resume, will be catering for all age groups throughout the country.
He stated that though lack of funds and scholarships continues to be a challenge, such a matter needs to be attended to ensure that the nation is saved from drowning. Meanwhile, Mr. Ramainoane on behalf of the association passed condolences to the families of the deceased. In recent reports, about three people were found at the dams of Robert, Lower Thamae and Mejametalana in Ha Seoli.
