The Minister of Trade and Industry Honourable Tefo Mapesela said the Lesotho standard body which has been long awaited will soon be established to increase production and exportation of various products.

Honourable Mapesela said this when addressing the private sector during a one day public dialogue hosted by his ministry yesterday to discuss issues related to business in general.

He said Basotho will be able to increase production of goods which could be exported to other countries when the body is established, unlike now when the products exported by Lesotho are mainly dominated by the textile products.

The dialogue was attended by different stakeholders in the business, which included traders, Lesotho Revenue Authority, Central Bank and the Lesotho Post Bank.
