Harvest FM in collaboration with Lesotho Flour Mills and African Clean Energy donated gifts which include food, clothes and fire places to T’sepong Counselling Centre children’s home, at a charity event in Maseru on Friday the 31st August 2018.
Speaking at the event the founder and the Managing Director of Harvest FM Mrs ‘Malichaba Lekhoaba, said what she usually tells children when donating gifts to them is that being an orphan is not an excuse for one to not have a bright future.
She encouraged children by telling them that there is nothing God cannot do with them, and reminded people that God forbids them from looking down upon children.
Mrs Lekhoaba indicated that she is afraid of looking down upon children, as she is also afraid of looking down upon God’s plans about children.
Harvest FM donated part of gifts that were left at Mrs Lekhoaba’s birthday celebration, where she was celebrating with shepherds in different villages around Sefikeng in Berea district on Thursday the 30th August 2018.
The representative of African Clean Energy at the event Mrs Nthabiseng Maputsoe, explained that the fire places they donated to T’sepong Counselling Centre are safe to be used by children, as they use fire wood and they cannot easily cause harm to children.
On behalf of the Ministry of Gender, Youth, Sports, and Recreation Mrs ‘Mabataung Mokhathai, called on children to be thankful that even though they do not have parents, God at least left them with their loving and caring guardians.
She pointed out that the responsibility of children is to respect their guardians, love them and always be thankful for everything they do for them.
When accepting the gifts the founder of T’sepong Counselling Centre Mrs Flory Kolobe, expressed her gratitude to Harvest FM, Lesotho Four Mills and African Clean Energy for the gifts to children and said this brings hope to them.
