MAPOTENG AGRIBUSINESS MEMBERS STRENGTHEN UNITY THROUGH COOKOUT

Berea, June 30 -- Members of Mapoteng Agribusiness gathered for a cookout on Monday following their regular Farmer’s Field School meeting, using the occasion to strengthen teamwork while continuing to monitor the progress of their cabbage crop.

The group, which meets every Monday, carried out routine monitoring and maintenance of the cabbage field before sharing a meal prepared through members’ contributions. Each member contributed M50 towards the cookout.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Mr. Nkosi Tshabalala said the cookout was organised to uplift members and strengthen the spirit of working together as the project continues.

He said the cabbage crop is now about two and a half months old and has entered the folding stage, an important phase in which the heads begin to form.

Mr. Tshabalala noted that regular monitoring and teamwork remain essential to ensuring the crop develops well and that the knowledge gained through the Farmer’s Field School programme continues to benefit members.

The group continues to meet weekly to care for the crop while applying the practical farming skills acquired through the Farmer’s Field School programme under SADP 2.
