The Lesotho College of Education (LCE) together with Vodacom Lesotho Foundation will on Thursday sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Speaking to the Agency in an interview on Monday, the Manager, Public Relations and Corporate Communications for Vodacom Lesotho Mr. Lebohang Chefa said the purpose of this MOU is for Vodacom Lesotho to offer support and sponsorship to the college for the establishment of a central training hub.

He said this hub is aimed at enhancing Information Communication Technology (ICT) skills for pre-service and in-service teachers so that they can effectively utilize digital technology in the classrooms.

He indicated that this will also enable the college to be at par with evolution as the world is slowly being dominated by technology.

The usage of artificial intelligence comes highly recommended even in schools as it is believed to also be providing skills of industry ready and entrepreneurial students.

The Vodacom Lesotho Foundation supports different sectors across the country such as Education, health, economic empowerment as well as Gender equality.
