Department of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) of the Ministry of Education and Training; awarded certificates to 35 inmates who completed their studies at Lesotho Correctional Services (LCS) in Maseru on Wednesday.

On that Occasion the observer at the ministry`s TVET department Mr. Tumelo Mmota, indicated that there are three certificates of their categories awarded to the inmates.

The third category is where the recipient is able to work under the supervision of their seniors; the second category is where the recipient is able to work alone where the third category is where the recipient is the supervisor.

Mmota further indicated that the students are given two years on the field in order to showcase their skills, and after two years they are given an observer to oversee their work skills and performance in their jobs.

On behalf of the inmates, Ms ‘Mantoa who excels in needlework expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Education, as well as the Lesotho Correctional Services for granting them an opportunity to continue living their dreams, even when they are serving their sentences.
