The Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, Mr. Mahash Saeed Alhameli yesterday indicated that Lesotho together with other African countries are said to be recognized with a lot of natural resources, that allow global markets to be interested in investmenting in Lesotho.
 
Alhameli indicated that his plan as ambassador is to visit Lesotho at least quarterly with the purpose of discussing issues on economic sector development between the two countries. He goes on by saying Lesotho holds great potential in sectors of food security and renewable energy which needs attention of investors towards its growth.
He added by stating that airport of Lesotho need to be renovated for it to be on international level.

In 2021, Lesotho exported over M985 million to the United Arab Emirates. The main products that Lesotho exported are Diamonds, Low-voltage Protection Equipment and Knit Men's Shirts.
