Phoqoane Member of Parliament Hon Matankiso Tekane says preparations are at advanced stage for selected villages of Kolo area to be electrified.In an interview  Mrs Tekane  said  before the end of this year members of the community in the area will be enjoying benefits of having electricity.

Hon Tekane informed members of the community that not all villages will get electricity  saying the Lesotho Electricity Company will take selected villages to be electrified and  others will be included in the next phase.She however said all the established Village Electricity Schemes will be notified and

considered but not at the same time as the budget for this programme is limited. Member of Parliament said Lesotho Electricity Company will be in the area holding public gatherings to select villages to be electrified. On of the residents Mr. Tankiso Putlane thanked the government of Lesotho through the involved ministry, saying they have seen different villages being electrified left behind.Mr. Putlane highlighted that   they have effective Electricity Schemes. Kolo is located along Mohokare River within Mamantso Community Council.
