The Government of Lesotho remains highly committed to improving access to justice for all people in the Kingdom of Lesotho.

This was said by the Minister of Justice and Law, Mr. Richard Ramoeletsi during the stakeholder’s workshop on validation of a report on mapping of legal aid providers that was held in Maseru yesterday.

According to Mr. Ramoeletssi, the provision of legal aid is a fundamental human right to every Mosotho citizen. Ramoeletsi indicated that It has been a long vision of the country to be able to afford legal aid services sufficiently to those mostly in need regardless of their location, religious beliefs, gender and age.

On the other hand, Deputy Prime Minister, Justice Nthomeng Majara says this workshop was hosted to create a common understanding on the proposals contained in the 11th Amendment to the Omnibus Constitutional Bill.
