Severe drought and famine in southern Africa leaves some 20 million facing hunger

An estimated number of twenty million people living in Southern Africa is reported to be affected by severe hunger due to the drought crisis that appears to have devastated due to the climate pattern called El Nino.

This was mentioned by the United Nations (UN), which also mentioned that this famine is expected to take forty years for things to return to normal.

Moreover, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe have reportedly made Requests for humanitarian aid from various international organizations as many citizens are still living in a great crisis of hunger.

The UN also said that the price of food, especially grain and oil, is expected to go up since there is another problem caused by the wars of the western countries fighting in the middle east.
